Week 2 begins

I could definitely tell today that I didn't do anything yesterday. Today's workout was harder than the workout on Friday. We did mostly upper body, which is one of my problem areas. (I have several.) In order to keep my heartrate up, Wade throws some cardio-type stuff throughout the workout. I am realizing just how much of a workout stairs are! You really can make a big difference in your fitness level simply taking the stairs instead of the elevator! I don't do that many sets, and it always kicks my butt.

I feel so great after working out! It really is a great feeling. Our bodies are designed to do be active, we just have to be willing to use them!

I am still doing well watching what I eat. As I've said before, I knocked out a lot of the junk a few months ago, so that part isn't too hard for me. The hardest part for me is taking in enough calories every day. I feel like I'm eating SO MUCH all day long, but at the end of the day I'm only up to around 1400 calories. That's on the lower end of what I need to be taking in each day, 1400-1800 calories per day. I didn't do well this weekend, probably since my time is less structured on the weekends. I only got three meals in each day - no snacks.

Random thought... I've always had trouble drinking enough water. I just don't think about it until I'm dying of thirst and on the verge of dehydration. (Real smart.) Anyway, I've noticed that by switching to whole grains and sprouted grains I crave more water. It may be a coincidence, but I definitely drink more water when I'm having my sandwich at lunch now. Whatever works, right?! :)
